Why I Started Crawli

I still remember back when I was a sophomore in college, looking for ways to spice up my wardrobe. I had seen friends with shirts I wanted, styles I wanted to dress as, and shoes that I thought would look good on me. But I was balling on a budget. That's when I started to fall deep into the rabbit hole of secondhand fashion and thrift shopping.

The sheer volume of resale marketplaces - Depop, Poshmark, eBay, Grailed, Vestiaire, The RealReal - and the options within each became overwhelming. My eyes stayed glued to the screen for days, during class, eating dinner, even whilst chatting with friends, just searching for some great deals. But I never truly found the grail I was looking for. The condition was always just a little bit too worn, or the piece was already sold, or it was always too expensive for me. I ended up settling for a "vintage" Russell sweater. Hours of research and a seemingly great deal at just $25, just for me to be unhappy with it, throw it away as soon as it arrived, and request a refund. The search process was tireless, and I never found what I really wanted.

That's why I decided to build Crawli.

Crawli is my first passion project, a price comparison search engine for secondhand and preloved clothing. One search across every major resale marketplace, ranked by price, so you can stop tab-hopping and actually find what you're looking for. I aspire that this product works for people like sophomore me just looking for a good deal, those who are looking to research what a piece of theirs might go for across different resale platforms, and anyone generally interested in the world of vintage and second-hand fashion.

Happy Crawling.
